MP FILTRI

MP Filtri S.p.A. is an Italian multi-national company specialising in filtration products for the hydraulic fluids sector, founded by Bruno Pasotto in 1964, with its headquarters at Pessano con Bornago (Milan).

Most production is carried out at its Italian facilities in Lombardy. It currently has eight trading and operational subsidiaries in Germany, France, Great Britain, the United States, Canada, Russia, India and China and a global network of retailers and distributors in over 100 countries.

The MP Filtri production range has 4 divisions: fluid cleaning filters for use on suction and return lines, in-line for medium-pressure with single and duplex bodies or battery installations, structural components for coupling the motor to the pump using bell housings and drive couplings.

The line is completed with aluminium tanks, feet for mounting electric motors in the B3 mounting position, inspection doors for tanks and damping rings for vertical mounting of the motor/pump assembly on the tank cover – hydraulic circuit accessories such as filler and breather plugs, optical and electrical level indicators, pressure gauge switches, pressure gauges, pipe and hose mounting brackets and clamps – products for monitoring contamination for the production of particle counters and accessories.

Basic product range includes:

Return filters, used as process and safety filters to protect pumps and hydraulic circuits from contamination as per ISO 4406.

Suction filters, used as safety filters to protect pumps from gross contamination which can cause them to grip.

High pressure filters, used as process filters to protect individual valves or the entire hydraulic circuit from contamination as per ISO 4406. 11 versions are available with operating pressures ranging from 110 bar to 560 bar. A range of products is available to resolve all filter mounting problems, in various configurations, also including a complete set of valves (bypass valve, check valve, reverse-flow valve etc).

LMP low and medium pressure filters, used as process filters to protect pumps, pressure reducers and hydraulic circuits from contamination as per ISO 4406.

Spin-On filters, used as process and safety filters to protect individual pumps, valves or the entire hydraulic circuit from contamination as per ISO 4406. In-line Spin-On filters can be used for the following purposes:  Suction filters,  On the return circuit, for mounting on the line or on the tank cover, In-line for low and medium pressure applications

Return / Suction filters: Hydraulic combined filters for installation on the return and suction lines of hydrostatic transmissions (HSTs) for commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural vehicles, and mobile work equipment with hydrostatic drive.

High pressure stainless steel filters, used as process filters to protect individual valves or the entire hydraulic circuit from contamination as per ISO 4406. 11 versions are available with operating pressures ranging from 60 bar to 1000 bar.

Clogging Indicators: Filter elements are efficient only if their Dirt Holding Capacity is fully exploited. This is achieved by using filter housings equipped with clogging indicators. These devices trip when the clogging of the filter element causes an increase in pressure drop across the filter element. The indicator is set to alarm before the element becomes fully clogged.

Couplings : Drive couplings provide the means by which power is transmitted from the electric motor to the hydraulic pump. By virtue of their flexible structure they are able to compensate angular and radial misalignments between motor and pump and appreciably attenuate the noise generated through the drive line. The couplings are available in aluminium and cast iron versions, with a variety of spider options, and will cover a range of applications using electric motors from size 63, rated 0.15 kW, up to size 400 rated 400 kW.

Bell-Housing, used as connecting elements between IEC motors and wide range of hydraulic pumps available on the international market. Made in Aluminiun die cast, they cover a range from IEC motor size 63 to IEC motor size 355.
